COVID Response
Get vaccinated and treated to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The COVID-19 virus has changed the landscape of recent history. With its effect on the entire world, we’re forced to adapt to the new normal. What helped turn things back to somewhat normal are the COVID-19 vaccines, which build up people’s immunity to the virus.
West Coast Family Medical Care offers an all-inclusive COVID-19 response that will keep you and your family safe in the new normal. We offer tests to let you know your status, vaccination to keep you protected, and treatment if you ever get infected. Our medical professionals are here to provide you with your needs.
Our COVID-19 Testing Services
COVID-19 testing is critical to contain and mitigate the spread of the virus. Getting tested lets you know if you’re infected and prevents further person-to-person transmission. It also lets you know the steps you need to take to keep your family and community safe. Here are the tests we perform:
During the molecular PCR test, we’ll collect your fluid sample by inserting a swab into your nostril or the back of your throat. Besides a bit of discomfort, you won’t feel any pain, and the results are very accurate. You only have to wait for 15 minutes before getting the results.
Your body develops antibodies after an infection or an illness. They are proteins built by your immune system to ward off infections from viruses. A positive antibody test could mean that you were previously infected by the COVID-19 virus since antibodies were detected in your blood. The results of this test can come out in only seven minutes.

Our COVID-19 Treatments
COVID-19 treatments reduce your chances of hospitalization. It’s essential that you seek treatment right after the onset of symptoms or right after you receive a positive test result. Here are the COVID-19 treatments that we currently offer:
Antiviral treatments reduce severe illness by stopping the virus from multiplying in the body. We provide oral antiviral pills that you should take as soon as you test positive and no later than five days after symptoms appear. The pills you will get depend on your age and symptoms.
Monoclonal antibody treatments can increase your body’s ability to fight the virus by limiting its amount within your body. We provide these treatments as soon as you test positive and no later than seven days after symptoms appear. They are administered through one-time IV injections and are recommended for adults and children.
